Well, I just watched the series finale, thanks to Skyone in UK. You can find it on BitTorrent if you know where to look.
Anyone else see it?

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Wed, March 28, 2007 - 12:51 PMIt was premiered on British Sky broadcast, 2 weeks ago. Interesting series finale, but personally I feel it was not up to the standard of the normal SG-1 episodes, which I have watched all over the past 10 years. A shame really, however it is good to hear Sam Carter (Amanda Tapping) will be present in future Stargate Atlantis episodes. As announced after the episode was screened. -

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Wed, April 18, 2007 - 11:49 AMthe problem I have with it is that they didn't really "wrap" anything up... really. Are they hoping for a Buffy Xmas miracle and have the series picked up by NBC or something? -
-
Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Wed, April 18, 2007 - 12:49 PMThey are wrapping it up with the movies. -
-
Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Wed, April 18, 2007 - 7:28 PMI agree with the finale being something of a letdown. In the middle of the season I could forgive that but as the season finale... The only Series and season finales that I have consistently liked were Buffy, Angel and Six Feet Under. it's hard to wrap up a series. -

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Thu, April 19, 2007 - 12:53 AMI liked the way that Farscape always left on a cliffhanger....
Though, I guess this was the smart way to wrap things. this isn't Star Trek, if the voyage of the Enterprise ends, the whole fleet continues. But if the SGC were to shut down or whatever, then Atlantis couldn't continue (and they couldn't do movies).

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Sat, June 23, 2007 - 4:35 AMNormally I just lurk here...but I saw this last night and was severely disappointed. What was the point? They could have done much better. -

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Sun, June 24, 2007 - 9:46 AMI didn't think the finale was that bad. At least they did have a major change in the Stargate universe in that the Asgard have become extinct (which I'm sad to hear about) and the SGC got access to all the Asgard's knowledge and history (which I'm glad to hear about). On that note, where are they going to store that massive Asgard database? For all practical purposes, that database has to be the most important thing on Earth.

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Sun, June 24, 2007 - 5:41 PMI've seen it, and it was stupid. It reminded me of the ending of Next Generation: a lot of hot air, and Nothing Really Happened!

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Mon, June 25, 2007 - 7:05 AMWhat happened to RDA? Shouldn't he have been in the last episode even if it's just to say a couple of lines? -
-
Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Mon, June 25, 2007 - 7:11 AMI thought so, too! I said, "What? Not even a cameo from Richard Dean?" That was disappointing. Overall, it felt like just an average episode, not a series finale.
Poor T'ealc! Now he's stuck several decades older! I guess that makes his life span more on par with the rest of the team's anyway. -
-
Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Mon, June 25, 2007 - 1:57 PM"An average episode", yes, exactly.
Maybe they were trying to say that Sg-1 goes on as always, infinitum. If so, it was very poorly done.
Frankly, I got the impression that Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner were suffering from terminal burnout. The story quality was subpar, and the actors just didn't seem to care.

Re: Who's seen the series finale?
Wed, June 27, 2007 - 5:02 PMI saw it a couple of weeks ago via torrent... I definitely expected RDA to be there. I also expected to see General Hammond. Oniell should have been there when they met up with Thor. He always had some witty comment towards Thor. It meant the comradery between oniell and jackson wasn't there. I mean, the stargate movie was all about these two characters. How can you not have them in the final episode?
I have read that RDA is in the second of the two movies. So hopefully that will be THE finale. :)
